    Blade speed ratio of impulse turbine is given as (blade velocity/steam velocity at inlet).Here blade velocity is \[V=\frac{\pi D N}{60}
    \\=\frac{\pi\times 120 \times 10^{-2}\times 3000}{60}
    \\=188.49\;m/s\]

    Therefore inlet velocity of steam will be \[\frac {188.49}{0.42}\]

    \[=448.79\]

    \[\approx 450\;m/s\]
